To be or not to be.......

Salam to all. There are something in our life that we want to achieve. Some want to get marry before reaching 30 years old, some want to become a successful person in his/her field, etc. Last night, something is bothering me. Can I be a good doctor? This occur to me during yesterday's posting. During the ward round with Dr. Jacob Matthew, I observe the way Dr. Jacob handle the patient. The patient was so worried about her health and afraid that she's gonna die soon. But, amazingly Dr. Jacob calm the patient and talk to her in a manner that I couldn't be able to do it. At that time, I wonder whether I can become a doctor as good as Dr. Jacob. Being a doctor is a great deal in my life. The reason why I took up this profession is because of my mother, not myself. I always thought that being a historian or a biochemist would be my job. But, my mother's dream is to see me being a doctor, and since she had passed away, the only thing I can do for her is to fulfill her dream. I don't know whether this is the right choice for me or not. I always try to find truth within myself. Eventually, nothing came up. I wonder whether I can live my life with this feeling in my heart.

"Allah, please help me..........."

My day.....

Salam to my faithful readers! Today is Sunday, a perfect day to enjoy ourselves :) Last Wednesday and Thursday, I had a test on pathology and comm.med respectively. The patho test include the female and male genital systems, while for the comm.med, mainly include epidemiology, nutritional and statistics. From my opinion, patho was ok, while comm.med, as usual, was horrible, huhuuhuu. But above all, all of the have passed, and now I'm concentrating myself on patho tutorial next week. Final is getting nearer and nearer, and I don't think I had read everything. With all the thought of attendance + the repeat fees made me more panic! I always pray so that I can seat for the exam, and not failing it. Anyway, yesterday B batch was having 'makan-makan' at waheeda's house. It mainly for the celebration of members of B batch (nicky, sarah, sasha, munira & noni) for being elected as members of MSA. Again, congratulation to them all! Sasha cooked nasi ayam++ while munira cooked nasi lemak++. It was great, and extremely delicious!! Later, I went to visit Saran's new place in Sanjanagar. Not what I imagine, but it was comfy and nice. Ok la, time to read microb. Until then..........

Tahniah + kejam! + Alhamdulillah...

Salam to all. Why the title? Well, to explain the 'tahniah', I would like to take this chance to congratulate the elected members of MSA! Congratulation, and we hope that all of you can perform both your job and your study well!

Second, regarding to the title 'kejam!', yesterday, at the foyer, a new notice was pasted there. I looked and it was a notice regarding the amount of fee that we have to pay if we are going to repeat, if (God forbid) we fail in that particular subject. And to my surprise, the fee was soooo fucking expensive! Can you imagine, community medicine paper will need RM 40,000, and clinical postings will costs you RM 47,000!!!! Not to mention other subjects here. It was so expensive and the MSU senate already know that we can't afford to pay for it. They think that this is a psychological way to make us study harder and frequently coming to class. In fact, this huge fee will only make us more toward "baik aku drop je drp bayar sebanyak tu!" I was particularly afraid of clinical postings, since in 4th term, I had skipped medicine, TB & chest, and OBG practical exams (not theories). I don't want to repeat any of those subjects! I need to pass! Plus, I tried to ask some of my friends from oversea, and in Egypt (particularly Cairo University), it is free, and Alexandria only charge USD 100 only! This is too much for MSU to do this to us. I don't know what are they thinking, but I was hoping they will give a better explanation regarding these fees, black and white! Don't just make your own decision and surprise us with that figure. Christmas is still far ahead! We don't need this. Pleas dear 'senates' of MSU, just sit back and re-discuss this matter, before any students here dare to initiate acts of violence, etc.....

Alhamdulillah. My third title. Today, I finally get my surgery practical exam on hand! Only 5 of us undergo exam for today; me, munira, nazri, aidid and vijay. Our patient came to the hospital with swelling, and the swelling has already ulcerated. Surgery has been done, and there are two ulcers, 1st is the incision wound (due to I&D) and the 2nd ulcer is having a irregular, well-defined margin with the size of 17cm X 6cm. Everything goes on well. Dr. Arun Kamath, the one who failded me during my last test is again our examiner. Although the viva goes well, but I don't know whether I pass or fail. Based on my presentation, I maybe fail or got borderline pass. I'm crossing my finger for the borderline pass or pass, rather than fail.

Well, that's all. Until then...........

Dinner with Dato' Pa + Election Day

Salam 1Malaysia. Again I'm here to talk about my experience that occur on Saturday night where me and several of my friends joined a dinner, organized by the high commissioner for the meeting with Dato' Mustapa Mohamed, Minister of International Trading and Industry of Malaysia. He and his delegates were here in India for a bussiness trip, and on his arrival to Bangalore, he wishes to see the students, and they we were, huhuhuhu. This is my first time seeing a minister face-to-face. His speech, although it is quite long, but it is a good one, and not a boring one, huhuhuhu. He's very friendly and had quite a personality. After the dinner, he went to each table to have a chat with us. For the first, I was quite scare to speak to him, but after a while, it became natural. Many took a picture with him, but I just decided to stay low, huhuhuhu. Anyway, it was a nice dinner, although at the beginning I was quite resisting to go to the dinner, since I have no intention to do so. But, since zola said, "the name was picked by the ambassy", I have no choice but to go, eventhough at the middle of it I know that many junior change place with their friends, huhuhuhu. Again, I would like to express my gratitude to Dato' Mustafa Mohamed for the dinner, and for his desire to meet us here, in India. We all appreciate your kindness. Thank you, Dato'.......

One more thing I forgot to tell you, last night, after the one whole week of campaign, the voting is done at F-15, Shriram Sadhana Apt, Gokula. Eventually, many came, especially the junior. We, the Sanjaynagarian also came to support our candidate, hehehehehe. Anyway, the voting process was smooth, even though I would like to recommend to the IMSA (International Medical School Association - responsible for the voting process) to do it during daytime + at the Ramaiah auditorium, as we did last time during the election day for you guys. It is easy, and comfortable, unlike at F-15, where the house is small, and since it is done at night + the noise will definitely interrupt the nearby neighbour. So, I hope in the future, you guys can reconsider my proposal here. Anyway, congratulation for your effort of making the MSA Bangalore election a total success! May the best win!
