Journal Ramadhan 8

Salam! Today is Bangalore's 8th Ramadhan. For sahur, I had plain rice + KFC. I know, it is quite unhealthy, but, I like it! Then, after Subuh, I forced myself today to study pathology. It is the most heaviest subject I had to face through. I only managed to finish hepatitis and part of alcoholic liver disease today. Since tomorrow is holiday due to Malaysia Independence Day, I will try my best to continue reading patho. For berbuka, I had it at Lieyana's house because Hadi invites me, tikah and mimi for the berbuka. Hadi cooked 'nasi tomato', with lieyana making cek mek molek (my favourite since I was little). Then, since tikah and mimi want to have terawih at F-15 today, I hanged out at Hadi's place (my former house) while waiting for them to finish terawih. Me? I skipped my terawih for today, huhuhuhu. Well, that's it for today. Hoping tomorrow will be better.

Journal Ramadhan 7

Salam to all. It is the 7th day of Ramadhan here in Bangalore. For today Sahur, I only had 'kuih cara berlauk' that I bought yesterday from my junior. I skipped my clinical class today because I want to focus on my study. Went to the library to study pharmac along with maro. FYI, I've decided to cancel my trip to Egypt this coming holiday because of personal matter, and I also will not going back to Malaysia, meaning that I'll be staying here in India. Forget about that. For berbuka, me and maro went to Bejing Bite to have a bite there, and believe me, it is a big bite, hahahahaha. Then, drop by at KFC to buy something for moreh and tomorrow's sahur, huhuhuhuhuhu. Well, that's all. Until then.....

PS: Still worry about my residential permit renewal.

Journal Ramadhan 5

Salam to all. Today is Bangalore 5th Ramadhan. For sahur, I only had some dates + butter cookies + hot tea. It can't be helped since the gas is still unavailable. Going to class as usual, but today I went to Baptist alone since Farid and Tikah didn't want to go today. At Baptist, Dr. Anita brought us into OT, but as usual I didn't enter it since I know there is no surgical gown that fit me. So, I hang out in the class, reading ENT until 10.20 am. Then, I went to OPD alone. Dr. Badri asked me why I didn't enter OT, and simply I said, "There is no gown fit for me, so I went to the class and reading ENT." He didn't believe that I really reading ENT book, and thinking that I read pharmacology, or forensic medicine, but I tried to convince him that I'm really reading ENT book, and then he laughed. Funny he is dr. Badri. The rest is the same. Went to evening lectures and practical (that new, young lecture in microbiology dep. is soooo cute and pretty, hehehehe) For today berbuka, I stop by at KFC and bought a large bucket of fried chicken and a zinger burger, oh and along with that Krusher, hehehehe. At home, Farid cooked 'sambal terung'. So, today I had plain rice + KFC + 'sambal terung' + samosa + nescafe + Krusher. Fuh, it is better than yesterday, and I didn't need to go to Ice Spice like yesterday, hehehehehe. So thankful.......

Journal Ramadhan 4

Salam to all. It is 4th Ramadhan here in Bangalore and for the beginning of the 4th Ramadhan, I didn't have my sahur since I woke up late, at 5.10 am to be exact. I aspect that one of my housemate will magically woke up early and wake me up, but none of them did. They also still in deep slumber when I woke up this morning. Therefore, none of us were having sahur today. I didn't go to class today because I don't feel to well. So, I just laid back home, studying for IA and surfing. Today's weather is gloomy and rain started to fall of around 3.00 pm. It just so sad to see this gloomy day, as it is try to remind me the bitterness of my life. For today's berbuka, it seem that the gas is empty at the Farid try to make corn porridge. So, we berbuka with the yesterday dishes + something that they bought in bazaar Ramadhan (don't know where they bought it). After Maghrib, since I didn't satisfied with today's berbuka, I decided to eat up at Ice Spice with tikah and mimi. So, that's all for today. Hoping that tomorrow's berbuka will be better, huhuhuhu.

As usual, going to Baptist's for clinical class and then back to college for evening lecture and practical. Hadi asking me, tikah and mimi to have our 'berbuka' at newly open KFC! Yup, KFC has finally entering BEL Road and it seem that my weight will only gain, no loss, hahahahaha. Going to KFC with the girls around 6.30 pm. Arrived there, I was so amazed to see so many people were there, Indian, and our Malaysian students, huhuhuhu. Saw my juniors, my friends and my seniors. It was really crowded and packed, but we managed through it! I ate 5 pieces of fried chicken & 2 pepsi. The rest were eating meals that have rice in it. Journal Ramadhan 2

Salam to all. It is 2nd Ramadhan here in Bangalore. Today, I woke up late because I forgot to activate my alarm, huhuhuhu. So, at 4.00 am, since it is late for me to cook rice, I only heated up the remaining dishes yesterday. Only Rohaizat and Farid ate them, while me eating the muffins and some dried date. After filling myself up, I prayed first and then continue my revision. I skip class today because there are sooo many things that I hadn't read
up! But, I attend the evening lectures and practical. Around 4.15 pm, I getting busy in the kitchen cooking. Yup! today is my turn. I planning to cook fried mee hoon, daging masak sambal, and some fried veg. Everything turns out well! Finish cooking at 6.20 pm. Have our 'berbuka' at 6.38 pm. My fried mee hoon was quite spicy, so sorry to Farid, Roy, Dzola, and Jad! Everything was splendid. Farid even bought samosa and sugar cane juices! Today's Ramadhan was nice, even though it is tiring when cooking after class. But it is all worth it!

Journal Ramadhan 1

Salam to all. Today, I will begin writing my experience in facing Ramadhan of 2009 (1430H). It just going to remind me the hardship and sweetness that I will experience in this holy month. I will writing it every day during Ramadhan, and enjoy following it!

Woke up for Sahur at 3.45 am. While my housemates are still in their slumber, I cooked the rice, and prepare simple dishes like saute spinach and fried eggs, huhuhuhu. We have our sahur around 4.20 am. Since this is the first day of Ramadhan here in Bangalore, I drank lots and lots of water so that I will not get thirsty later (but, I always do, even in Malaysia, hehehehe). My stomach is blotted, and I went for shower and perform Subuh pray and reciting Quran. Until 8.30 am, I managed to stay up, but then I fell to sleep until 11.00 am! Very bad indeed, too much time has been wasted. Woke up, continue reading patho + youtube, and after Zohor, around 3.30 pm, I again sleep. Woke up back at 5.00 pm, and helping the others at the kitchen for the 'berbuka'. Today, we break our fast with rice, steamed fish, fried chicken cooked in red sauce (ayam masak merah), and cabbage cooked with white gravy (kobis masak lemak). It was nice, and it's all Farid's recipes. Can't wait to see what to break fast tomorrow!

Protection form H1N1? Different masks are there

Salam to all. Nowadays the demands of protective masks for the prevention of swine flu has been rapidly increased. But, many people doesn't know which mask is better, their pros and cons, etc. So today, I add up some common protective masks that can be used for the prevention of swine flu. Choose wisely!

This mask prevents droplets and viruses that are more than 4 microns in diameter, like the influenza virus which causes the common cold, from passing through. Best used outdoors and on public transport. Made of paper with a gelatinous layer.

Comfortable, provides ventilation. Can fit everybody as the straps can be adjusted to fit each head size. Even children can wear it.

Should be changed every four hours, or once it becomes wet with fluid. Difficult for people wearing secs as vapour will keep forming on their lenses.

This mask will not give much protection against swine flu or H1N1 viruses. They do not have a filter. Unlike the three-ply surgical mask. Anything with a diameter less than 5 microns will be able to pass through the paper and into the respiratory system.

Ok for minimal use. People serving food can use it for hygiene. Not useful for those who have a cough or cold.

Hardly any protection against viruses. Can tear easily because of moisture from saliva.

Very effective in catching very small particles as the material used to make this mask generates static electricity. Particles above 0.3 micron cannot pass through. Used to protect against highly transmissible respiratory infections such as tb.

Made using a nonwoven technology of polypropylene fiber, that increases the density and filtering function.

Breathing difficulties. Children may not be able to cover up the nose and mouth completely.

Disgraceful human being!!!

Salam. Kalau guna inai takpe jugak, ni kalau pakai 'dye' komersial yang kita mg tahu kalis air, lagi aku tension! Kalau nak amik wudu', sah ke korang punya wudu'??!! Kalau wudu' tak sah, solat tu sah ke? Pikir sendiri la. Kadang2 rasa sedih pun ada bila tengok orang2 macam ni, lebih2 lagi kalau orang tu pernah sekolah agama yang famous2. Aku selalu pandang tinggi kat budak2 yang sekolah agama, tapi tak sangka bila dah kuar sekolah, lain pulak diaorang buat. Aku yang sekolah harian ni je pun rasa tak perlu ada lagi dah sekolah2 agama macam KISAS, Maahad etc, sbb budak2 dia hancus! (well, bukan semua la, sebahagian kecil je pun) Dah, malas nak cakap panjang. Lega sikit hati aku ni. Sesape yang tersinggung tu, maaf je la ye. Ni luahan perasaan aku.

H1N1 is getting more furious!

Salam to all. My first post in August is about H1N1 pandemic (swine flu). Hearing from the news and from my friends regarding the severity of this disease in Malaysia, especially in my home state Melaka making me more worry about the condition of the people there, mainly my family and friends. So much death has occured in Malaysia due to this culprit. In India, so far only 1 death has been recorded in Pune. I pray that a vaccine to treat the disease will come to picture soon. My advice, please take every precautions, like wearing mask and so on. If there any symptoms that mimic the viral infection, please go to the nearby hospital for torough check up, even if it is just a fever. We never know.
